 Michelle Volonte - Massage Therapist
Michelle is a California State Certified Massage Therapist, a Licensed Massage Therapist in Corona, California, and a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Michelle received her massage certificate from the School of Holistic Touch where she studied structural kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, and pathology. She is skilled at such techniques as DeepTissue, Swedish-American, Sports Massage, Stretching, Reflexology, and Headache Therapies.
Michelle believes firmly in the connection between the mind and body. Ease the stress in the mind and you relieve pain in the body and vice versa. Many physical ailments are deeply rooted in emotional issues, the baggage everyone carries. When the mind is hurt emotionally, the body can act as a shield protecting the mind, guarding it from further harm. Michelle believes therapeutic touch, or bodywork, helps unload some of that baggage, thus freeing the body to let its defenses down and ease the physical pain.
A session with Michelle will begin with a brief interview to discuss your particular complaints. Michelle will then tailor your massage to fit your specific needs, incorporating a variety of modalities, with the intention of relieving your stress, easing your pain, or increasing your range of motion.
Michelle operates her practice, BodyWorks Massage Therapy, out of Lechner Chiropractic in Corona. Many of her clients come to her complaining of headaches, stress, lower back pain, and fibromyalgia. Michelle welcomes every client with the hope that they leave with decreased pain in their body and increased serenity in their mind: mind and body in equal balance.
